Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Vitamin E in Lebensmitteln mit Hochleistungs-Flüssigchromatographie (HPLC) fest. Die Bestimmung des Vitamin E-Gehalts erfolgt anhand der Bestimmung von Alpha-, Beta-, Gamma- und Delta-Tocopherol. Diese Bestimmung wurde in 2 Ringversuchen validiert. Im ersten Ringversuch wurde auf Alpha-Tocopherol in Margarine und Milchpulver von 9,89 mg/100 g bis 24,09 mg/100 g untersucht. Im zweiten Ringversuch wurde Alpha-, Beta-, Gamma- und Delta-Tocopherol in Milchpulver und Alpha- und Beta-Tocopherol in Haferpulver von 0,057 mg/100 g (Beta-Tocopherol) bis 10,2 mg/100 g (Alpha-Tocopherol) untersucht.
