Diese Norm gilt für äußere Abschlüsse mit der Ausnahme von Rolläden, die unter Wärmewiderstand Klasse 5 Dichte Abschlüsse eingeordnet werden sollen, wenn sie sich vor einem Fenster oder einer Tür befinden. Sie schließen eine Luftschicht einer konstanten Dicke von ca. 20 mm bis einschließlich 300 mm ab. Die Luftdurchlässigkeit von Fenstern und Türen kann nach EN 12207-1 Fugendurchlässigkeit - Anforderungen - Klassifizierung - Teil 1: Für Fenster und Türen in 5 Klassen aufgeteilt werden.
