Grundsätzlich ist dieses Dokument auf Module zur Mikrofiltration, Ultrafiltration, Nanofiltration, Umkehrosmose und Elektrodialyse anzuwenden, deren Einsatzbereich die Wasserbehandlung in öffentlichen Wasserwerken und in Trinkwasser-Installationen ist. Eine Bewertung der Wirksamkeit von Membranfiltern zur Entfernung von Verunreinigungen im behandelten Wasser wird nicht vorgenommen.
