Dieser Teil der Norm ist eine allgemeine Einleitung für die am häufigsten verwendeten Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Beständigkeit der Farbe unter der Einwirkung von Hitze beim Verarbeiten von Farbmitteln in Kunststoffen. Dieser Teil legt auch diejenigen Einzelheiten fest, die für alle der in den Folgeteilen beschriebenen Prüfverfahren gelten. Die Wahl des Prüfverfahrens hängt vom einzufärbenden Kunststoff, dem Verarbeitungsverfahren und den Gebrauchsanforderungen ab. Anhang A beschreibt ein allgemeines Verfahren zum Herstellen von Probenkörpern in Standardfarbtiefe, und Anhang B enthält die für die Berechnungen benötigten Koeffizienten.
