Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren für die Bestimmung des Scherwiderstandes einer Klebung bei konstanter Kraft und bei konstanter oder steigender Temperatur fest. Das Prüfverfahren ist zur Ermittlung der Rangordnung und zur Qualitätskontrolle der Klebstoffe vorgesehen und nicht zur Ermittlung von Konstruktionsdaten. Diese ÖNORM enthält die Europäische Berichtigung AC:2007 mit der die Abschnitte 2, 6, 8.1 und 10 korrigiert wurden.
