Diese Norm beschreibt die technischen Lieferbedingungen für Para-Aramidfaser-Filamentgarne. Sie gilt für Hochleistungs-Para-Aramidfaser-Filamentgarne, wie in den EN-Werkstoff-Leistungsblättern definiert. Die Para-Aramidfaser-Filamentgarne werden zur Verstärkung von Polymer-Verbundwerkstoffen zur Verbesserung der mechanischen Eigenschaften eingesetzt. Die Herstellung der Para-Aramidfaser-Filamentgarne erfolgt mit einem Naßspinnverfahren aus einer PPTA (Polyphenylen-Terephthalamid)-Lösung.
