Dieses Dokument legt die mechanischen Eigenschaften für gezogene Drähte aus Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen für allgemeine Anwendungen fest (ausgenommen sind die Niete für die Luftfahrt). Es gilt für gezogene Drähte, ausgenommen Drähte für elektrotechnische oder schweißtechnische Anwendungen. Es gilt nicht für Vordraht. Die in dieser Norm verwendeten Bezeichnungen von Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen, die chemische Zusammensetzung und die Bezeichnungen der Werkstoffzustände entsprechen EN 573-3 bzw. EN 515.
