Diese Europäische Norm ist Teil einer Reihe von Normen über Produkte und Systeme für den Schutz und die Instandsetzung von Betontragwerken. Sie legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Widerstandes von Instandsetzungsprodukten und -systemen nach prEN 1504-3 (in Vorbereitung) gegen die Absorption von Wasser fest. Das Verfahren beruht auf der Messung der durch die kapillare Wasseraufnahme bedingten Massezunahme über einen festgelegten Zeitabschnitt. Die Masse des absorbierten Wassers wird als Koeffizient ausgedrückt, der die Neigung des Probekörpers angibt, Wasser ohne Aufbringen eines äußeren Drucks durch Kapillarwirkung aufzunehmen.
