Diese Norm gibt ein Typprüfverfahren zur Feststellung der Werte der Schwingungsemission an, die unter festgelegten Bedingungen auf den gesamten Körper der Bediener von Flurförderzeugen übertragen wird. Sie gilt nicht für Hand-Arm-Schwingungen. Die vorliegende Norm gilt für die in ISO 5053:1987 aufgeführten kraftbetriebenen Flurförderzeuge. Anhang A gilt für żgeländegängigeż Flurförderzeuge. Diese Norm gilt auch für weitere kraftbetriebene Flurförderzeuge, die nicht in ISO 5053:1987 behandelt werden, z. B. für Stapler mit veränderlicher Reichweite, Niederhubkommissionierer usw.
