In dieser Europäischen Norm werden die Anforderungen an die Gebrauchstauglichkeit freier Ausläufe des Typs AC mit belüftetem Tauchrohr und Überlauf für Zuleitungen mit Nennweiten bis einschließlich DN 250 festgelegt. Ausläufe, welche dieser Norm entsprechen, gelten als Einrichtungen zum Schutz von Trinkwasserinstallationen gegen Verunreinigungen der Gefährdungsklasse 3. Zusätzlich zu den Anforderungen an fabrikmäßig montierte Bauteile enthält diese Norm auch Anforderungen an vor Ort gebaute freie Ausläufe.
