Diese Europäische Norm behandelt das Gaspendelventil, das zur Weiterleitung von Gas zwischen dem Tankabteil und der Verbindungsleitung zur VKG-Kupplung dient. In dieser Europäischen Norm sind die Leistungsanforderungen und die wesentlichen Maße des Gaspendelventils festgelegt. Weiterhin sind die Prüfungen festgelegt, mit denen nachgewiesen werden kann, ob die Ausrüstung den Anforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm entspricht. Die in dieser Norm beschriebene Ausrüstung ist zum Umfüllen flüssiger Erdölerzeugnisse und anderer gefährlicher Güter der Klasse 3 des ADR [2] geeignet, deren Dampfdruck bei 50 °C max. 110 kPa beträgt (einschließlich Ottokraftstoff) und die nicht als giftig oder ätzend eingestuft sind.
