Diese Europäische Norm behandelt von außen zu betätigende und selbsttätige VK-Kupplungen für Untenbefüllung und -entladung. In dieser Europäischen Norm sind die Leistungsanforderungen und die wesentlichen Maße der VK-Kupplung für Untenbefüllung und -entladung festgelegt. Weiterhin sind die Prüfungen festgelegt, mit denen nachgewiesen werden kann, ob die Ausrüstung den Anforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm entspricht. Die in dieser Norm beschriebene Ausrüstung ist zum Umfüllen flüssiger Erdölerzeugnisse und anderer gefährlicher Güter der Klasse 3 des ADR geeignet, deren Dampfdruck bei 50 °C max. 110 kPa beträgt (einschließlich Ottokraftstoff) und die nicht als giftig oder ätzend eingestuft sind.
