Festgelegt sind allgemeine Regeln (Prüfverfahren, Prüfstücke) für die Anforderung und Anerkennung von Hartlötverfahren für metallische und nicht-metallische Werkstoffe. Es wird vorausgesetzt, daß die Hartlötverfahrensanweisung in der Fertigung verwendet wird und das Hartlöten von Hand mit der Flamme von kompetenten Hartlötern ausgeführt wird, die nach prEN 13133 anerkannt wurden, wenn dies entscheidend ist. Diese Europäische Norm ist anzuwenden, wenn die Anerkennung eines Hartlötprozesses gefordert wird, zB durch Vertrag, Norm, Richtlinie oder gesetzliche Anforderungen.
