Dieser Teil der EN 13146 legt ein Laborprüfverfahren zur Ermittlung des Verdrehwiderstandes fest, das erforderlich ist, eine Schiene, die mittels eines Schienenbefestigungssystems an einer Schwelle befestigt ist, um 1° in einer Ebene parallel zum Fuß der Schwelle zu drehen. Der erzielte Wert lässt sich für Gleisstabilitätsberechnungen verwenden. Die Prüfung ist nicht für eingebettete Schienen anwendbar. Das Prüfverfahren gilt für ein komplettes Schienenbefestigungssystem.
