Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Messung des Sandrückhaltegrades von Sandfangblenden unter Einwirkung von simuliertem Sand und bei einströmendem Luftstrom durch die zu prüfende Haube fest. Für die Bewertung wird in der Norm ein Abschnitt von 1 000 mm × 1 000 mm einer Sandfangblende oder die nächstgrößere Lamellengröße betrachtet. Der Zweck der Prüfungen dieser Europäischen Norm besteht in a) Sandrückhaltegrad Festlegung des Sandrückhaltegrades, wenn unterschiedliche Luftvolumenströme durch die Baueinheit strömen. b) Anforderungen an den Eintrittsverlustkoeffizienten bzw. Druckverlust Festlegung des Luftdruckverlustes durch die Sandfangblende bei unterschiedlichen Luftvolumenströmen und durch Berechnung des Austrittsverlustkoeffizienten.
