Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt die Verfahren zur Konditionierung von Probekörpern, die nach Europäischen Normen für das Brandverhalten geprüft werden. Die Regeln für die Auswahl von Trägerplatten für Bauprodukte zur Durchführung von Prüfungen zum Brandverhalten werden ebenfalls in dieser Europäischen Norm behandelt. Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an - die Vortrocknung von Probekörpern für die Nichtbrennbarkeitsprüfung nach EN ISO 1182 sowie an; - die Reinigungsverfahren (z. B. Waschen) und weitere Verfahren zur Beurteilung der Dauerhaftigkeit, da diese in den jeweiligen Produktnormen behandelt werden.
