Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Silikastaub, der ein Nebenprodukt des Schmelzprozesses zur Herstellung von Siliciummetall und Ferrosilicium-Legierungen ist. Dieser Teil der EN 13263 enthält Anforderungen an chemische und physikalische Eigenschaften von Silikastaub, der als Typ-II-Zusatzstoff für Beton nach EN 206-1 oder für Mörtel, Einpressmörtel und andere Mischungen verwendet wird. Dieser Teil der EN 13263 enthält auch Konformitätskriterien und betreffende Regeln. EN 13263-1 enthält keine Regeln zur Verwendung von Silikastaub in Beton. Einige Regeln sind in EN 206-1 aufgeführt.
