Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen und Prüfbestimmungen für Bau, Sicherheit, Kennzeichnung und rationelle Energienutzung von Konvektions-Raumheizern für gasförmige Brennstoffe mit offener Verbrennungskammer fest mit und ohne Ventilator für den Abtransport der Abgase, im folgenden als Gerät bezeichnet. Obwohl der Ventilator auch im Freien angebracht sein kann, deckt diese Norm nur die Nutzung des Gerätes, wenn die Teile in Räumen aufgestellt sind.
