Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an ungebundene Gemische fest, die beim Bau und bei der Instandhaltung von Straßen, Flugplätzen und anderen Verkehrsflächen verwendet werden. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für ungebundene Gemische aus natürlichen, industriell hergestellten und rezyklierten Gesteinskörnungen mit einer oberen Siebgröße (D) von 5,6 mm bis 90 mm und einer unteren Siebgröße (d) = 0 zum Zeitpunkt der Auslieferung. Die Anforderungen an Gesteinskörnungen werden unter entsprechenden Querverweisen auf EN 13242 festgelegt. Die Anwendung von Gesteinskörnungen als Boden ist nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
