Für wiederbefüllbare, ortsbewegliche nahtlose Gasflaschen zur Aufnahme von verdichteten, verflüssigten und unter Druck gelösten Gasen aus normalgeglühtem Kohlenstoff-Mangan-Stahl mit einem Fassungsraum von maximal einem Liter ist Gestaltung, Konstruktion, Aufbau und Fertigung festgelegt. Weiters sind die erforderlichen Prüfungen angegeben. Bestimmungen über die zugelassenen Werkstoffe sowie über deren Wärmebehandlungen sind ebenso enthalten wie die notwendigen Berechnungsformeln und Konstruktionsrichtlinien. Die technischen Anforderungen zur Erlangung der Bauartzulassung sowie die der Annahmeprüfung sind im Detail beschrieben. Die verschiedenen Arten der Druckprüfungen werden behandelt. In einem informativen Anhang sind Beispiele von Bescheinigungen für die Bauartzulassung und für die Abnahmeprüfung dargestellt. Die Bewertung von Herstellungsfehlern und die Bedingungen für die Zurückweisung zum Zeitpunkt der Sichtprüfung beim Hersteller sind zusammengestellt.
