Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen, Probenentnahme, Prüfverfahren und die Lieferbedingungen für nahtlose Rundrohre aus Kupfer mit massivem Mantel aus Kunststoff fest. Sie gilt für Rohre, die bestimmt sind für: Kalt- und Warmwasser-Verteilungsnetze; Warmwasser-Heizungssysteme (Temperatur nicht über 95 °C), einschließlich Fußbodenheizungssysteme; Verteilung gasförmiger und flüssiger Hausbrennstoffe. ANMERKUNG Die wichtigste Aufgabe des Mantels ist, Rohre aus Kupfer gegen Korrosion von außen während des Betriebs zu schützen. Zusätzlich kann der Mantel einen gewissen Schutz gegen Schlag- und Druckbeanspruchung beim Transport, Einbau und während des Betriebs geben. Mäntel, deren wichtigstes Ziel eine Wärmeisolierung ist, sind in dieser Norm nicht eingeschlossen.
