Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des chelatgebundenen Spurennährstoffgehaltes und der chelatgebundenen Fraktion der Spurennährstoffe (Mikronährstoffe) Kobalt, Kupfer, Eisen, Mangan und Zink in Düngemitteln fest. Dieses Verfahren gilt für Düngemittel nach Richtlinie 89/539/EWG, die einen oder mehrere der Spurennährstoffe Kobalt, Kupfer, Eisen, Mangan und Zink enthalten und durch einen oder mehrere Chelatbildner aus der Gruppe der Polyaminopolycarboxylsäuren chelatgebunden sind, entweder allein oder in Verbindung mit Haupt- (N, P, K) und/oder Nebenelementen (S, Na, Ca, Mg).
