Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Lager im Bauwesen, unabhängig davon, ob sie in Brücken oder in anderen Tragwerken verwendet werden. Diese Norm gilt nicht für: a) Lager, die Momente als Hauptschnittgröße übertragen; b) Lager, die Zugkräfte übertragen; c) Lager für bewegliche Brücken; d) Betongelenke; e) Erdbebensicherungen. Obwohl es nicht beabsichtigt ist, temporäre Lager zu regeln, kann die Norm als Richtlinie dafür verwendet werden (temporäre Lager sind solche, die während des Baus oder der Reparatur oder der Wartung von Bauwerken verwendet werden).
