Diese ÖNORM betrifft die Anforderungen an die Bemessung und die Herstellung von Kalotten- und Zylinderlagern mit PTFE. Die Anforderungen an und Eigenschaften von gekrümmten Gleitflächen sind in ÖNORM EN 1337-2:2004 geregelt. Kalottenlager mit einem Öffnungswinkel von 2 Theta > 60° und Zylinderlager mit 2 Theta > 75 ° liegen außerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches dieser ÖNORM. Zur Steuerung der Freiheitsgrade der Lagerung dürfen die Lager mit ebenen Gleitteilen und Führungen nach ÖNORM EN 1337-2:2004 und Arretierungsringen nach 6.3.4 kombiniert werden. Zylinderlager sind gegen unplanmäßige Momente um die Querachse der zylindrischen Gleitfläche anfällig. Zusätzliche in Betracht zu ziehende Anwendungsbegrenzungen sind in ÖNORM EN 1337-2:2004, Abschnitt 1 angegeben.
