Festgelegt sind die Anforderungen an Membranarmaturen mit metallischen Gehäusewerkstoffen. Die Festlegungen gelten für den Nennweitenbereich DN 10 bis DN 300 für geflanschte Armaturen, für den Nennweitenbereich DN 8 bis DN 300 für Armaturen mit Schweißanschluss und bei Armaturen mit Schraubanschluss für den Nenngewindebereich (NPS) von 1/4 bis 3. Der Druckbereich umfasst die Nenndruckstufen PN 6 bis PN 25 und Class 150, unabhängig von der Bauart. Behandelt sind weiters die zulässigen Werkstoffe sowie die erforderlichen Druck-/Temperatur-Zuordnungen. Weiters sind Angaben für die Prüfung, die Abnahme sowie für die Kennzeichnung enthalten.
