Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung der elastischen Rückstellung von bitumenhaltigen Bindemitteln in einem Duktilometer bei einer gegebenen Prüftemperatur fest (üblicherweise 25 °C oder 10 °C; es können aber auch andere Temperaturen angewendet werden). Sie gilt besonders für bitumenhaltige Bindemittel, die mit thermoplastischen Elastomeren modifiziert sind, kann aber auch auf andere bitumenhaltige Bindemittel angewendet werden, die nur eine geringe Rück-stellung aufweisen.
