Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein flexibles Größenbestimmungssystem basierend auf den Körpermaßen und die damit verbundenen Größenangaben für Verbraucher unter Zuhilfenahme eines Standard-Piktogramms. Beispiele für die Kennzeichnung von Bekleidungsstücken mit dem Standard-Piktogramm (siehe EN 13402-1) sind in Abschnitt 5 in diesem Dokument enthalten. Beispiele für Körpermaße und Sprungwerte sind in Anhang A (informativ) zur Anwendung für die Zusammenstellung von Bekleidungsgrößen für Männer, Frauen, Jungen, Mädchen und Kleinkinder enthalten. Maße für Bekleidungsstücke werden in diesem Dokument nicht angegeben.
