Die einzelnen Definitionen dieser Benennungen sind in ÖNORM EN 132 und die bildlichen Darstellungen in ÖNORM EN 134 enthalten. Damit soll eine Vereinheitlichung der im Bereich der Atemschutzgeräte benützten Benennungen erreicht und ihre Verwendung in den drei offiziellen CEN-Sprachen unterstützt werden.
