Diese Europäische Norm enthält Definitionen und legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren hinsichtlich des Einsatzes von wiederverwendbaren Boxpaletten fest. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Boxpaletten, Rungenpaletten und Gitterboxpaletten, nicht aber für Silo- und Tankpaletten, wie sie in EN ISO 445 definiert sind. Sie können von fester Bauart, zusammenlegbar oder zerlegbar sein. Die Produkte, die in dieser Norm behandelt werden, sind Boxpaletten, die mit Gabelstaplern oder Hubwagen, nicht jedoch mit anderen Hebevorrichtungen gehandhabt werden können. Prüfungen für die Lagerung in Stapellagern und für spezielle Transportbedingungen werden in dieser Europäischen Norm nicht behandelt. ANMERKUNG Für die Anwendung dieser Norm gilt der Begriff Boxpalette gleichermaßen für Boxpaletten, Rungenpaletten und Gitterboxpaletten, die in 3.1.1 definiert werden.
