Für die Konstruktion, die Herstellung und die Prüfung von Berstscheibeneinrichtungen mit einer maximale Nennweite von DN 100 für den Kryo-Betrieb sind die Anforderungen festgelegt. Die Festlegungen gelten für Einzelgase und Dämpfe für den Betrieb bei Umgebungstemperaturen und ergänzend für den Betrieb mit tiefkalten Fluiden unter -10 °C. Basis dieser Festlegungen sind jene aus ISO 4126-1. Nähere Bestimmungen hinsichtlich Werkstoffen und Verträglichkeit sind enthalten. Zusätzliche Prüfvorschriften für Berstscheibeneinrichtungen mit nicht auswechselbaren Berstscheibeneinheiten sind angeführt.
