Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren fest, das aussagt, wie sich eine Gesteinskörnung verhält, wenn sie zyklischen Frost-Tau-Wechseln ausgesetzt wird. ANMERKUNG Die Beanspruchung der Gesteinskörnung infolge von Frost hängt neben weiteren Faktoren sowohl vom Grad der Wassersättigung als auch von der Abkühlgeschwindigkeit ab. Die Prüfergebnisse ermöglichen es, die Widerstandsfähigkeit einer Gesteinskörnung gegen diese Art der Witterungsbeanspruchung abzuschätzen. Diese Prüfung kann auf Gesteinskörnungen mit einer Korngröße zwischen 4 mm und 63 mm angewendet werden.
