Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Index-Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Wirksamkeit, mit der ein Geokunststoff eine geosynthetische Dichtungsbahn oder eine andere Kontaktfläche gegen die mechanische Langzeiteinwirkung statischer Punktbelastungen schützen wird. Die Prüfung wird allein am Geokunststoff ausgeführt. Sie misst die festgestellten Dehnungen an einem Geokunststoff, der im Kontakt mit einer verformbaren Unterlage steht. Eine entsprechende Leistungsprüfung, die besondere Baustellenbedingungen simuliert, ist in Anhang B (informativ) beschrieben.
