Diese Norm legt Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Scheuerbeständigkeit von gestrickter Fußbekleidung fest, wie zB von Fesselsocken, Socken, Strümpfen, Kniestrümpfen und Damenstrümpfen. Die Prüfverfahren sind auf sämtliche genannten Artikel anwendbar, unabhängig von deren Größe, Zusammensetzung und Ausführung. Die Norm enthält folgende Prüfverfahren: Verfahren 1 - Bestimmung der Scheuerbeständigkeit von gestrickter Fußbekleidung an gedehnten Proben unter Verwendung eines mit veränderten Probenhaltern ausgerüsteten Martindale-Scheuerprüfgerätes; Verfahren 2 - Bestimmung der Scheuerbeständigkeit von gestrickter Fußbekleidung an Proben, die auf Beinmodell-Nachbildungen gezogen und kontrolliert gedehnt werden.
