Das Dokument betrifft alle Messsysteme mit oder ohne Bediener, die an Fahrzeugen angebracht sind, mit Ausnahme der in EN 13848-3 und EN 13848-4 festgelegten Systeme. Nur nach dem Inkrafttreten der Norm in Betrieb genommene Geräte sind hiervon betroffen. Diese Europäische Norm definiert nicht die Abnahmebedingungen für Fahrzeuge.
