Der vorliegende Teil der Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Eigenschaften, chemische Zusammensetzung und Metallausbeute von Aluminiumschrott aus Krätzen und Ausläufern fest. Er gilt auch für Gröbe, die bei der Aufbereitung der Krätze anfällt. Ganze Lose von Feinanteilen mit einer Partikelgröße unter 0,8 mm oder Lose von Krätzen mit einer Metallausbeute unter 30 % gehören nicht zum Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm.
