Dieses Dokument legt ein Rahmenwerk für die Spezifizierung der Eigenschaften und entsprechenden Prüfverfahren für multigrade Straßenbaubitumen fest, die für die Verwendung beim Bau und der Instandhaltung von Straßen, Flugplätzen und sonstigen befestigten Flächen geeignet sind, sowie Informationen für die Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit. Multigrade Straßenbaubitumen werden in EN 12597:2000 als spezielle Bitumen mit positivem Penetrationsindex (Ip) für Anwendungen im Straßenbau bezeichnet. Die Eigenschaften Kohäsion, Adhäsion und Absetzverhalten werden in diesem Dokument nicht direkt angesprochen.
