Diese Norm legt Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Widerstandsfähigkeit von Textilien gegen die Einwirkung von Mikrofungi fest. Das Ziel ist nicht, die biologische Abbaubarkeit von Textilfasern zu prüfen, sondern Folgendes zu bestimmen: ob ein textiles Material von Mikrofungi überwachsen werden kann, ob eine Ausrüstung textiler Materialien das Wachstum von Mikrofungi auf dem Material verhindert, die Wirkung einer Textilausrüstung gegen Pilze, ob ein textiles Produkt unter der Einwirkung von Mikrofungi seine Eigenschaften der Zugfestigkeit verliert. Die Bewertung des Verhaltens des textilen Materials erfolgt durch Sichtprüfung und durch Bestimmung der Veränderung der physikalischen Eigenschaften. Diese Norm verwendet die gleichen Prüfpilze wie ISO 846 und IEC 6006868-2-10.
