Dieses Dokument legt Baumusterprüfverfahren zur Bewertung der Sicherheit und des Leistungsvermögens von an Abluftanlagen angeschlossenen Abzügen fest. Die entsprechenden Anforderungen sind in EN 14175-2 festgelegt. Für Begriffe gilt EN 14175-1. Für Sicherheits- und Leistungsanforderungen an Abzüge gilt EN 14175-2. Für Vor-Ort-Prüfverfahren von Abzügen gilt EN 14175-4. Für die Baumusterprüfung und die Vor-Ort-Prüfung von volumenstromgeregelten Abzügen (VAV) gilt EN 14175-6 zusätzlich zu dieser Norm. Für Abzüge für hohe thermische Lasten und Säurelasten gilt EN 14175-7. Für die Prüfung von Absaugboxen mit Luftrückführung gilt EN 17242. Für die Prüfung von mikrobiologischen Sicherheitswerkbänken gilt EN 12469.
