Diese Europäische Norm legt die Armaturenkombinationen, Konstruktion, Werkstoffe und Maße für Schlaucharmaturen mit Kupplungen für Tankwagen (TW-Kupplungen) fest. Kupplungen für Tankwagen nach diesem Dokument dienen der Verbindung von Schläuchen mit Anschlüssen zum Fördern von Flüssigkeiten, Feststoffen und Gasen, ausgenommen Flüssiggas und Dampf. Die Kupplungen können in einem Arbeitsdruckbereich von -0,8 bar bis 16 bar bei Arbeitstemperaturen von -20 °C bis +65 °C verwendet werden. Tankwagen-Kupplungen für andere Betriebsbedingungen nach Vereinbarung.
