Diese Europäische Norm legt Maße, Anschlussarten, Werkstoffsorten, Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung und Anforderungen an die Prüfung für Schlaucharmaturen mit symmetrischen Kupplungen (System Guillemin), mit beweglichem Klemmring für Schlauchleitungen mit einem höchst zulässigen Arbeitsdruck bis 10 bar mit Schlauchstutzen nach EN 14420-2 und Klemmfassungen nach EN 14420-3, fest. Kupplungen nach dieser Norm dienen der Verbindung von Schläuchen mit Anschlüssen zum Fördern von Flüssigkeiten und Feststoffen (z. B. Pulver, Granalien), ausgenommen Dampf und Flüssiggas. Die Arbeitstemperatur beträgt -20 °C bis +65 °C.
