Diese Europäische Norm ist eine Produktnorm, die Leistungsanforderungen an feuerwiderstandsfähige Sicherheitsschränke zur Lagerung von Druckgasflaschen festlegt. Die Norm gilt für Schränke, die zur Lagerung von Druckgasflaschen mit einem Gesamtvolumen von max. 220 l ausgelegt sind; hierin sind Druckgasflaschen für Spülgase eingeschlossen. Sie gilt nicht für gemauerte Einfassungen, begehbare Lagerräume oder Schränke, die nicht ihr eigenes Gewicht an ihrer Grundfläche aufnehmen. Diese Norm legt Anforderungen bezüglich der Konstruktion des Schrankes und seiner Fähigkeit fest, äußerer Brandeinwirkung standzuhalten. Es ist eine Baumusterprüfung enthalten, die auf der bereits in ÖNORM EN 14470-1 existierenden Feuerwiderstandsprüfung (Temperatur-/Zeitkurve) basiert.
