Diese Europäische Norm enthält ein Klassifizierungssystem auf der Grundlage der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wo für diese Bodenbeläge ein zufriedenstellender Nutzen möglich wäre (siehe EN 685). Die Norm legt auch die Anforderungen zur Kennzeichnung fest.
