Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an und Prüfverfahren für Flachschläuche für Wandhydranten fest. Die Schläuche sind für den Einsatz bei einem maximalen Arbeitsdruck von 1,5 MPa und für Innendurchmesser von 25 mm bis 52 mm vorgesehen. Diese Europäische Norm gilt ausschließlich für Schläuche für Feuerlöschzwecke, die für den Einsatz bei einer minimalen Umgebungstemperatur von -20 °C unter normalen Bedingungen und einer minimalen Temperatur von -30 °C bei kälteren klimatischen Bedingungen sowie einer maximalen Umgebungstemperatur von +60 °C vorgesehen sind. Dieser Norm entsprechende Schläuche sollten mit Kupplungen für Feuerlöschschläuche verwendet werden, die den jeweiligen nationalen Normen für Kupplungen entsprechen.
