Festgelegt sind die Mindestanforderungen hinsichtlich Werkstoff, Gestaltung und Konstruktion sowie Verfahren für die Herstellung von wiederbefüllbaren, geschweißten ortsbeweglichen Gasflaschen aus nichtrostendem Stahl. Die Anforderungen gelten für das experimentelle Verfahren (und/oder geeigneten Berechnungsverfahren für die Spannungsanalyse) für Gasflaschen mit einem Fassungsraum von 0,5 Liter bis einschließlich 150 Liter für verdichtete und verflüssigte Gase.
