Diese Europäische Norm legt die Terminologie sowie die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für werkmäßig hergestellte (selbsttragende) Metallbleche fest, die in Form von vorgefertigten Dachdeckungs- und Wandbekleidungselementen geliefert werden. Sie gilt für selbsttragende Bleche aus Kupfer, Zink, Stahl, Aluminium oder nichtrostendem Stahl mit oder ohne Beschichtungen, die z.B. metallisch, organisch, anorganisch oder mehrschichtig sein können. Diese Norm legt jedoch keine Anforderungen an die Akustik- oder Dämmeigenschaften sowie an die Fähigkeit des Bauteils, zur Gesamt- oder Teilstabilität des Gebäudes beizutragen, fest und enthält keine Bemessungs- oder Konstruktionsanforderungen hinsichtlich der Arbeits- oder Einbautechniken bzw. der Leistungsfähigkeit der eingebauten Produkte.
