Die Norm gilt nicht für Produkte, die auf der Baustelle hergestellt werden. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für vollflächig unterstützte Produkte aus Aluminium, Kupfer, Blei, Stahl, nicht-rostendem Stahl und Zink mit oder ohne Beschichtungen, die z. B. metallisch, organisch, anorganisch oder mehrschichtig sein können (siehe Anhang A). Diese Europäische Norm enthält auch Regeln für die Kennzeichnung und Beschriftung sowie für die Konformitätsbewertung.
