ÖNORM EN 14832 legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Begutachtung der Oxidationsstabilität für schwerentflammbare Flüssigkeiten auf der Basis von Phosphorsäureestern fest. Diese Produkte gehören zu der Kategorie HFDR von ISO 6743-4 sowie zu den Kategorien TSD, TGD und TCD von ISO 6743-5. Hierbei erfolgt die Begutachtung anhand der während der Prüfung gebildeten Säure und anhand der aufgetretenen Massenänderung der Prüfbleche. Die Präzision des Prüfverfahrens gilt für Änderungen der Säurezahl bis zu 3,0 mg KOH/g und für Massenänderungen von bis zu 3 mg pro Prüfblech. Die Bestimmung der Änderung der Säurezahl erfolgt mit ISO 6618, ISO 6619 oder ISO 7537. Prüfergebnisse aus zwei verschiedenen Prüfverfahren sind nicht unbedingt vergleichbar, deshalb müssen direkte Ergebnisvergleiche mit Vorsicht vorgenommen werden.
