Diese Norm legt zwei verschiedene atomabsorptionspektrometrische Multielementverfahren mit elektrothermaler Atomisierung (ETA-AAS) zur Bestimmung von Silber, Arsen, Bismut, Cadmium, Cobalt, Chrom, Eisen, Mangan, Nickel, Blei, Antimon, Selen, Silicium, Zinn, Tellur und Zink in Kupfer (> 99,85 %) fest, die als Gussstücke und plastisch und nicht plastisch geformte Produkte vorliegen. Diese Norm legt zwei Verfahren, abhängig vom Konzentrationsbereich der Verunreinigungen, fest; siehe Tabelle 1. Verfahren B (Standardadditionsverfahren) ist anwendbar auf Produkte, die Verunreinigungen mit Konzentrationen unter 1,0 µg/g enthalten. Dieses Verfahren benötigt spezielle ETA-Geräte mit magnetischer Untergrundkorrektur.
