Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt zwei Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Dicke von Feststoffen innerhalb eines Gefüges. Die beiden Verfahren können angewendet werden, um entweder mit Hilfe eines Stahlbandmaßes oder mit Hilfe einer schwimmenden Scheibe und eines Stahlbandmaßes eine Anzeige der Dicke von Mineralien für Sportbeläge zu erhalten. Verfahren 1 ist mit einem Profil versehene Schichten anwendbar. Verfahren 2 misst die Dicke eines Materials an der Oberfläche.
