In dieser Europäischen Norm werden die technischen Anforderungen an fabrikgefertigte Platten mit oder ohne Profil (z. B. Holzwerkstoffplatten, Faserzement-Tafeln oder Bitumen-Wellplatten) festgelegt, die als Unterdeckplatten bei Schrägdächern mit überlappender Eindeckung verwendet werden (z. B. Dachziegel, Schieferplatten). In dieser Norm werden auch Inspektions- und Prüfverfahren sowie Kriterien für die Konformitätsbewertung festgelegt. In dieser Norm sind Unterdeckplatten, die zur Aussteifung verwendet werden, und asbesthaltige Produkte nicht behandelt.
